In 2012, Univers Poche is reinforcing its position as a major player in the sector, with a new imprint wholly dedicated to digitisation.

It was in 2010 that Univers Poche decided to implement a development strategy for its digital products. This involves compiling a strong and high quality catalogue, offering e-readers diversified reading materials in different areas of literature and the human sciences. There is also to be a higher profile for its imprints – 10/18, Fleuve Editions, Pocket and PKJ. The strategy will utilise all the editorial, commercial and marketing possibilities opened up by new technologies.

12-21 will be resolutely modern and creative, with broad, eclectic appeal. Its vocation will be to embrace all forms of dematerialised production. It will take in all the digital titles currently offered by Univers Poche, along with books published by its partners, and previously-unpublished titles created specifically for digital publication. It may also, in the future, propose a choice of applications, for example in youth literature and language learning.

As a digital "pure player", 12-21 will be concerned with finding new means of promoting and marketing e-books related to the specificities of this market.
